ICAR-Directorate of Floricultural Research (ICAR-DFR) is located at Pune, the second largest commercial and educational hub after Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. Pune is situated at a latitude of 18.5204° N and longitude of 73.8567° E, at an altitude of 560 meters (1840 feet) above sea level on the western margin of the Deccan platue.
ICAR DFR is presently located in the College of Agriculture Campus operating from the erstwhile regional station of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI). The ICAR- DFR has 20 Acres of land in the Agriculture College Campus at Shivajinagar and 50 Acres of land at Hadapsar. During the 12th Plan ICAR has sanctioned a regional center in Andhra Pradesh. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has transferred an area of 10.77 acres to establish regional station of Directorate of Floriculture Research at Vemagiri village of kadiyum Mandal of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
