ICAR-DFR observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 31st October to 5th November 2016. All the staff members of the institute took the pledge not to involve in or promote corruption in the organization. A quiz to measure the knowledge on various vigilance related aspects was organized and Mr. Girish, K.S. Scientist Entomology bagged first prize. As a part of imparting awareness pamphlets on “Vigilance Angle” were prepared and distributed among the members of the organization.
On the final day on 5th November, ICAR-DFR along with ICAR-NRC for Grapes, organized an interactive session with officials from Anticorruption Bureau, Maharashtra. The invitees were Mr. P.N.Hasnabis, Addl. D.C.P/S.P and Mr. Naendra Gaikwad, Dy. S.P, Maharashtra Anticorruption Bureau, Pune Division. Dr. K.V. Prasad, Director, ICAR-DFR, and Dr. S.D.Sawant, Director, ICAR-NRCG felicitated the Guests of the day. The guests showed various videos and presentations on preventing corruption and addressed the gathering, cleared all the doubts raised by the audience and assured all their help and support in mitigating corruption at all the levels of our life. All the staff members of both the institute actively participated in the programme.
